The Broward DSA will be hosting Green Party Presidential Candidate Howie Hawkins on July 24 at 7pm.

The DSA endorsed Bernie Sanders in the Democratic Primary, and many of us locally volunteered to help him win the Democratic nomination. But now that he's out of the race, who should we support in the election?  The DSA is not endorsing Biden, based on decisions made at our last National Convention in 2019. But should we support Howie?

Howie is running as an ecosocialist, and has been an activist since the 60s, involved in antiwar, environmental, social justice, and labor movements. He has been endorsed by the SPUSA and Solidarity, and is running with independent socialist Angela Walker, who describes herself as “a Fred Hampton, Assata Shakur socialist.”
