This is a great opportunity to get to know the U.S. Copyright Office, in a session specifically geared toward working choreographers. The Copyright Office administers the national copyright system and provides advice on copyright law to Congress, federal agencies, the courts, and the public. As choreographers, it's important that we understand how the Copyright Office works, which choreographic works are protected by U.S. copyright law, how to protect our own works, and how and when we might use choreography that we don't own ourselves. We'll also get a better understanding of how the Copyright Office is looking to the future and how choreographers can have our voices heard.
