Join expert panelists - Amy Spitalnick, CEO of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs; Professor Kathleen Blee, Distinguished Professor of Sociology, University of Pittsburgh; and, Pastor Tim Smith, Pastor of the Keystone Church of Hazelwood and CEO of Center of Life - in an engaging discussion exploring the rising threat of Christian nationalism. Along with our distinguished moderator, Maria Carson, Director of Jewish Education and Arts, Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh , our esteemed panel will examine how Christian nationalism intersects with antisemitism and undermines the principles of religious freedom that are fundamental to our American democracy and to the wellbeing and safety of us all, with a particular focus on the movement’s detrimental impact on Jewish women and Jewish people of other marginalized genders. Reserve your spot today! Together our panel will work to educate participants on the ways Christian Nationalism erodes true religious freedom in the United States. They will, as well, explore the connections between religious freedom, Christian nationalism, antisemitism, racism, and other forms of hatred - highlighting their interrelated impacts. By providing an overview of Christian nationalism in the United States, we aim to emphasize its significance and why it should matter to all of us.
Don't miss this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of these critical issues and learn how you can make a difference in preserving religious freedom for all.
