Citizens UK is supporting the creation of a London-wide coalition for a Just Transition.

We are asking organisations in London - businesses, schools, universities, faith groups, charities, colleges, think-tanks, migrant and refugee groups - to sign our Just Transition Pledge, calling on the next London Mayor to:

1. Create 60,000 good green jobs and apprenticeships (employing and training ‘Just Transition Champions’) over the next mayoral term, focusing on low income and diverse communities.

2. Work towards ending fuel poverty by 2030, by upgrading 100,000 homes over the next Mayoral term, to reduce emissions, improve wellbeing and create good green jobs.

Please join us at this Coalition Assembly on Monday 15 March 2021, 18:00 - 19:30 to:

- learn about our listening campaign of over 700 Londoners from 25 organisations in 15 boroughs, who, through a process of learning and reflection, agreed on the asks above;

- hear stories about why new Green Jobs and upgraded homes matter to people right now;

- connect with key allies from across business, education and civil society, who want to work together for a Just Transition;

- act to sign your organisation up to the Just Transition campaign and become part of the campaign.

- commit to collective action by joining our London Citizens Mayoral Assembly on 28 April 2021 with the 2 top-polling mayoral candidates before the Mayoral Elections on 6 May 2021.
