Community Panel for Climate Justice

Start: Sunday, November 13, 202210:00 AM

End: Sunday, November 13, 2022 3:00 PM

We have all seen over and over again that our local politicians are not creating policies that match the scale of these crises. They are not creating the transformative climate, social and economic policies that create the radical change that we need, and are not taking guidance from the communities that are impacted by these crises the most.

COP27 is a perfect moment to stand together in solidarity with important community groups to show strength in numbers and build networks of power so we can achieve what we all want. That’s why we are inviting you to come join us on November 13th for a public engagement and community building event.

This will be a full day event, with powerful speeches from young people, music, food, chalk drawing, and other fun activities with a goal of building networks and solidarity to help build a future we all want. This is also a chance to share our unique needs and visions for a better future. We will be inviting local MP’s David Pocock and Alicia Payne to see how we, as a broader local community, will stand together and fight for a safe climate, secure and meaningful work, a liveable wage and safe housing, and we will not take anything less. We will be having a panel discussion about how we can collectively create a better future with various important community leaders.
