Constituent Town Hall for Congressman Yoder

Start: Friday, May 12, 2017 6:00 PM

End: Friday, May 12, 2017 7:30 PM

Doors open at 6:00, event from 6:30-7:30.

Despite his pledges that any bill that failed to protect people with pre-existing conditions was a non-starter, Representative Yoder voted to pass the AHCA (Trumpcare) last Thursday, after limited debate, backroom negotiations, and no CBO score.

It's time to hold him accountable for that vote.

While we'd like Congressman Yoder to hold a Town Hall to explain his vote and justify the measures in it, he's stated that he believes telephone town halls, where only pre-screened questions are asked, are a more effective way to talk to us, his constituents.

So we'll organize the town hall, and invite him.

We'll discuss what's in the AHCA and what it means for Kansans. Then it'll be your turn to take the mic, share your stories and statements, and ask questions. One way or another, Congressman Yoder WILL hear from us.
