Constituent *Town Hall* for Sen. Marco Rubio

Start: Thursday, February 23, 2017 6:00 PM

A constituents Town Hall meeting will be held on Thursday, February 23, from 6-9 p.m. at the Universalist Unitarian Church, 7701 S.W. 76th Ave., Miami, 33143. The meeting is co-sponsored by Indivisible Miami, Indivisible South Florida, Women's March Miami and South Florida Against the Insanity Action Group. Indivisible Miami offered to co-host such an event with Senator Rubio, who has yet to respond to petitions and calls for an open forum in which constituents can engage with the Senator. The purpose of this Town Hall is to create a regular citizen forum for exchange of ideas, concerns and desired legislative outcomes with elected officials who represent the state of FL locally and nationally. Sen. Rubio and the Deputy Director of his southern regional office have been formally invited. A comprehensive list of invited and confirmed speakers will be announced early next week. Indivisible Miami is one of dozens of chapters nationally who are holding Town Hall meetings during the Congressional recess as part of their efforts to actively engage citizens in protecting and furthering democracy while upholding the rule of law explicit in the Constitution of the United States. This Town Hall meeting is open to the general public without fee. Town Hall, Indivisible, Indivisible South Florida, Indivisible Miami, Sen.
