Robin is an organizer with the Minneapolis teachers union and a leading socialist voice in the Twin Cities BLM movement. She played a central role organizing DSA’s work in the uprising against George Floyd’s murder last year. Robin’s Ward 2 neighborhood was “ground zero” for the police riot and the widespread fires and destruction that followed, where she organized a mutual aid food distribution center and community-led efforts to rebuild. Out of that work, and following the Minneapolis City Council’s reversal of their promise to “dismantle” the Minneapolis Police Department, Robin decided to run for City Council in Ward 2.
