Join the local chapter of Democratic Socialists of America for our December General Body Meeting! This will be a simple organizing meeting, without any votes on official business (that'll happen in January!). Organizing meetings are an opportunity for the entire chapter to gather, for members to meet each other, and far-flung corners of the organization to cross-pollinate. They are also an excellent opportunity for new (and dormant!) members to get involved with organizing happening right now! There will be food, song, and solidarity. Can you make it? We are hosting a potluck at our meeting, so feel free to bring and share any baked goods, finger foods, or non-alcoholic beverages!

Getting Here:

*Community Forge is accessible by bus (map out routes here ), and if you're coming by car, please see this map ! Please park in one of the two lots on either side of Community Forge. And if you find those lots full and will be parking on Franklin Avenue, please park only on the side of the street that Community Forge is on. We do this out of respect for our neighbors across the street. Community Forge also provides a bike rack for those who bike!

Accessibility:

Community Forge works to be accessible to people with mobility issues, with a ramp outside and a stair lift to get to the meeting room. Pittsburgh DSA also uses audio amplification for our meetings. We will seek an ASL interpreter as needed if requested. Translation or other requests for this meeting made after November 16th may be harder to fulfill, so please RSVP before then!

Childcare:

We will provide free childcare! All of our child care volunteers have provided their clearances. Please let us know if you will need childcare prior to November 16th so we can have time to ensure we'll have enough childcare volunteers!
