Domestic Violence 101

Start: Monday, April 06, 2020 4:30 PM

End: Monday, April 06, 2020 6:30 PM

The statistics are staggering: 1 in 3 women in Rhode Island will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive, coercive behaviors that one person uses to exert power and control over another in a relationship. During this session, participants will learn about the cycle of violence, barriers to leaving, and available community resources. This core training provides a strong foundation on how to support survivors and how each of us can help end domestic violence.
