This week, students and adults around the world will join sixteen-year-old Swedish activist Greta Thunberg for the largest mass protests against climate inaction in history. Join us on the BC Plaza on Saturday, September 21 from 1-3pm to send the message that Duke is ready for bold, progressive action on climate change. Fighting climate breakdown is about much more than emissions and scientific metrics – it’s about building a just and sustainable world that works for all of us. The rally will feature: - Speakers from Duke and Durham talking about solutions and a better vision for the future - Letters to our elected leaders to demand swift action on climate issues - Voter registration - Sign-making - Tabling by different environmental groups to learn more about how to get involved - Free Locopops.
