Pulaski Organizing 101

Start: Monday, July 03, 2017 9:00 AM

End: Monday, July 03, 201712:00 PM

Pulaski residents are standing up and demanding a greater voice in the halls of local, state, and national power. From challenging local officials to solve the middle school issue to organizing so that more young people and women candidates run for office, ordinary people are shaping the decisions that impact them, their children, and families.

On July 3rd join Pulaski Native and New River Valley Organizer Andrae Hash for a half day Organizing 101 workshop. Unite with your neighbors from 9 am -12 pm as we create a shared language and mutual understanding focused on direct action methods, deep organizing, and leadership development among directly affected people.

The pending middle school referendum will serve as the starting point for our organizing on this day, but we'll learn transferable skills for future struggles.

Childcare provided.

At the event attendees will be invited to give in a manner matching their ability. No gift is too large or too small.

All proceeds benefit Virginia Organizing, a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization.

Please RSVP using the link provided and share widely with your friends, family, and neighbors.
