People's March for Science & Climate - Rockford
Start: Saturday, April 22, 2017• 4:00 PM
Donald Trump is a threat to the future of our planet, the safety of our communities, and the health of our families.
The new administration has attacked the hard-won protections of our climate, health, and communities, and the rights of people of color, workers, indigenous people, immigrants, women, LGBTQIA, young people, and more.
We've fought back with a wave of protests larger than at almost any other point in history — let's make sure that we mark the 100th day of his presidency with another mass action that stands up for our communities.
Join us on April 22th - E A R T H D A Y - at Joe Marino Park at 100 N. Water Street. Let's create a mobile gallery of art in a fusion of science + art resistance! This march will end at Emmanuel Lutheran Church for participants to view the Spring Art Scene art show: "To Love is To Act: Artists Resist!" and to also attend the 7 p.m. Pete Seeger Earth Day Concert.
