We are delighted to announce that we will be joined by Alicia Garza, co- founder of Black Lives Matter on September 9th 2021 7pm BST over Zoom.

Alicia's book titled The Purpose of Power will be published in paperback in the UK and we will be in conversation with her discussing key themes in the book. Following on with Q&A we will break out into break-out groups discussing key questions.

The session will be chaired by our very own Ian Manborde, who is also the equality officer at the trade union, Equity.
Ian and Alicia will be joined by an incredible panel to discuss their responses to the book.

  • Mikaela Loach, climate change activist and co-creator of the Yikes Podcast
  • Sem Moema, Greater London Assembly Member and
  • Steve Edwards, a race equality activist and trade union shop steward.
