End the Era of Fossil Fuels - Seattle

Start: Thursday, June 08, 202312:00 PM

Biden promised to be a climate president – yet under his watch, the U.S. continues to be the biggest producer of oil and gas in the world. In the first few years of his term, he approved more lease sales for new oil and gas drilling on federal lands and waters than Trump: projects like the new oilfields known as Willow and a giant liquefied methane gas (LNG) export plant in Alaska and multiple oil and gas export terminals in the south. Frontline communities and scientists globally are abundantly clear – we must stop all new fossil fuel extraction to avoid the worst climate calamities.

Join 350 Seattle, Extinction Rebellion Seattle and others in action on June 8, part of the national week of action June 8th - 11th 2023, to demand Biden use his executive powers to end the era of fossil fuels and declare a climate emergency!

The 2nd Ave Federal Building plaza is level with the sidewalk on the north end. Buses stop directly in front on 2nd Ave and one block away on 3rd Ave. There is not currently a plan for accommodations for those with impaired hearing.
