Plan and strategize the next steps of the region-wide campaign to end police collaboration with ICE.

According to data from the St. Louis Rapid Response Line, 82% of people taken into ICE custody in the region were first detained during an interaction with the police, oftentimes at a traffic stop. Many of these stops were the result of racial profiling. Our state has 90 active 287(g) agreements, the 3rd highest in the nation, and more municipalities could follow suit.

At this meeting, you will learn more about the realities of ICE activity in the STL region, identify and connect with people in your municipality so you can map key decisionmakers and relationships in the area, and organize demands to end police cooperation. You will leave with a coordinated plan of action for a pressure campaign in your local community!

The campaign is specifically focusing on municipalities around the Ritenour school district after a local police department, working alongside federal immigration authorities, arrived at Ritenour Middle School looking for three students.
