Energy Storage Group Logo

SunDay is a global day of action on September 21st, 2025, celebrating the unstoppable rise of clean energy. We are excited to invite you to visit our laboratory, where we are testing energy storage and battery technology.

Energy storage is key to unlocking the full potential of renewable energy, supporting grid reliability, and advancing electrified transportation. Our mission is to develop and test storage solutions that accelerate the transition to a clean energy future. Our work spans a diverse range of technologies including advanced lithium and sodium-ion battery chemistries, flow batteries, thermal energy storage, second-life EV batteries, and direct air capture (DAC) systems.

We'll have a few representatives on hand to tell you about the research we are doing, and show off our cool equipment. Visit our website to learn more about us.

Getting Here

We strongly recommend taking the Trolley to the UC San Diego campus, as it's student move-in weekend and we can't guarantee there will be parking available. There is a Trolley stop right on campus, a 5 minute walk from our building. Here's a map to our building from the Trolley.

We are in room 154. It's on the 1st floor, towards the North side of the building.

We are on the first floor of a building. The UC San Diego campus is accessible.
