Paul Hodgson is the Technical Director of the Aviation Impact Accelerator (AIA), an initiative led by the Whittle Laboratory and Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) at the University of Cambridge.

✈️ Their mission is to accelerate the journey to sustainable aviation by developing evidence-based tools and convening key stakeholders to map, understand and support them to embark on the pathways towards sustainable flight.

The AIA recently released a groundbreaking report: ‘Five Years to Chart a New Future for Aviation’, outlining an ambitious plan calling for leaders to make structural changes in order to meet the net-zero target.

In this expert talk, Paul will take us through the background and key recommendations from the report:

☁️ Accelerating delivery of contrail avoidance to halve aviation's climate impact.

⚖️ Unlocking system-wide efficiency gains across the existing aviation sector.

⚡ Rapidly scaling truly sustainable fuels.

✈️ Launching several moonshot tech demos to drive transformative change
