This Earth Week, Extinction Rebellion Youth Los Angeles is hosting a digital campaign against Chase bank called “Chase Rebellion.” We are staging a mass social media storm against JP Morgan Chase, the top financier of fossil fuels. We will spam tweet and Instagram @chase and create floods of bad Yelp reviews on every Chase Bank page in Los Angeles. This rebellion will put the pressure on Chase to divest from funding the deadly industries that are threatening our future.

Chase Bank is the largest contributor to the fossil fuel industry. Since the Paris Agreement, JP Morgan Chase has provided $196 billion to the fossil fuel industry. Together, US banks account for 37% of all global fossil fuel financing. We are targeting Chase to demand that they divest from all fossil fuels.

We are Extinction Rebellion Youth Los Angeles. Extinction Rebellion is an international movement that uses peaceful, non-violent civil disobedience to achieve urgent action to stop the climate emergency, human extinction, and ecological collapse. Our generation is faced with an urgent choice: business as usual, which will lead to extinction, or rebellion. We the youth choose rebellion.
