Join use for a Facebook Live with the AAUP's Hans-Joerg Tiede for a discussion of the AAUP's investigation into the case of Courtney Lawton, a graduate student and part-time lecturer at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, who was suspended and later dismissed from her position in 2017 after right-wing attacks on her protest speech. Our report on the case will be released on May 10, and you can tune in on Friday, May 11, to learn about AAUP's investigative work and the particulars of this case. Tiede, a senior program officer in the Department of Academic Freedom, Tenure, and Governance, will walk viewers through the findings.
