Faith at Work Awards Breakfast

Start: Wednesday, October 14, 2015 8:30 AM

Join us on Wednesday, October 14th for the Labor-Religion Coalition's annual Faith at Work Awards to honor four individuals who demonstrate the power of prophetic social change ministry. Guided by faith and conscience each of these honorees have made New York a better place – by organizing students to end human rights violations; winning funding for quality public education; and fighting for living wages. This year, we are celebrating the work of:

Rev. Dr. Paula Gravelle, retiring Executive Director of the New York State Council of Churches

Andrew Beiter, Co-Director of the Educators’ Institute for Human Rights & Springville Middle School Teacher

Bishop Dr. Raymond Rufen-Blanchette, Executive Chairman of the Clergy Campaign for Social & Economic Justice

Delisa Saunders, Deputy Director of Human Rights and Community Relations with the American Federation of Teachers

*Breakfast will be served.

Tickets are $50 per person or FREE for those registered for the Faith for a Fair New York retreat. Sponsorships and acknowledgements/ads in the commemorative program are also available. Complimentary tickets are available upon request to those with financial need.

Please RSVP no later than October 7th. For information about contributing an ad to the commemorative program, contact Emily McNeill at emcneill@labor-religion.org.
