Drinks and Discourse is an informal space where we can get together face to face (irl) to hang out, drink, and discuss politics.

This month the theme will be Beyond Allyship: Finding True Solidarity Under Racial Capitalism

Talking about race is difficult. We often avoid talk of privilege, oppression, guilt, and anger, tiptoeing around them for fear of saying the wrong thing. We skirt the subject so we don’t hurt others or get hurt ourselves. For a powerful intersectional movement we must embrace the tension and have these hard conversations. This month at Drinks and Discourse we’re going there. Bring your anger and guilt but also your compassion and openness and let’s chat!

It's a space to share what we are doing and see what everyone else has been up to and casually discuss completely changing the world.

As usual, most of the space will be for just hanging out, finding common ground, sharing experiences, and uniting the community.
