Fight Back Against Chevron: Urge the Air District to Pass the Strongest Pollution Rule!
Start: Monday, February 01, 2021• 6:00 PM • Pacific Standard Time (US & Canada) (GMT-08:00)
End: Monday, February 01, 2021• 7:00 PM • Pacific Standard Time (US & Canada) (GMT-08:00)
The regional Air District is currently working on a regulation (Rule 6-5) that would dramatically clean up Chevron's emissions -- if the District passes the strongest version possible, this would be the strong pollution regulation they have taken on Chevron for years. As a result of community pressure, the District will be holding a public workshop on the regulation on Thursday February 4th. This will be a key opportunity to tell the Air District that Chevron should be held to the strongest standards possible!
To prepare for this workshop, Communities for a Better Environment will be holding this intro meeting on Monday February 1st, from 6-7pm. We'll be talking about why this regulation is such a crucial opportunity, sharing stories, and preparing together for the Thursday workshop. Please join if you are able!
If you've been to CBE meetings before, we're excited to see you again! And if this is your first CBE meeting, we're excited to meet you then!
Can't make this meeting but can make the Air District workshop on February 4th? Great! See here for details on joining the Air District workshop.
