We’re now two months into the chaos of this second Trump administration, and it is an onslaught meant to overwhelm us and make us feel powerless. But we are not powerless when we're organized, and we're still fighting for someone we don't know.
Join us on this call to learn more about how DSA members across the country are fighting to defend and expand the rights of trans and migrant communities, standing up against Musk's billionaire coup and standing with federal workers, and more. Find out what action you can take today to fight alongside us against fascism and authoritarianism and for a world where we all have dignity and liberation.
We will be joined by:
Olúfẹ́mi O. Táíwò, associate professor of philosophy at Georgetown University, author of Elite Capture: How the Powerful Took Over Identity Politics (And Everything Else), and recent articles on scapegoat politics and focusing on concrete wins during Trump 2.0.
Eric Blanc, professor of labor studies at Rutgers University, writer of the Labor Politics newsletter on Substack, and author of We Are the Union: How Worker-to-Worker Organizing is Revitalizing Labor and Winning Big.
Dr. Taylor Walker is a family medicine doctor and abortion provider from the south, and president of the union Committee of Interns & Residents (CIR-SEIU), representing more than 37,000 doctors in training, the fastest growing healthcare union in the country for the last few years.
DSA national co-chairs Ashik Siddique and Megan Romer, and DSA organizers of federal workers, trans rights, & migrant rights!
And we’ll end with a phonebank call to action to mobilize against Medicaid cuts and fund care, not billionaires!
