In the midst of the current crisis, while our government and society are already stretched, Boris Johnson and his cronies are intending to steam ahead with extremely dangerous and toxic US-UK trade deals.
Coronavirus has already revealed the flaws in the pro-corporate agenda that these deals were designed to entrench - from the decimation of our public services, to the privatisation of our healthcare system, hiking up the price of medicines and lowering safety standards. This will only line the pockets of a wealthy few, and create even more vulnerability in our communities.
But how do we stop Trump from getting his hands on our NHS? How do we fight for trade justice and trade democracy? And what does this look like?
Join us on 11 May at 8pm to hear from Director of Global Justice Now, Nick Dearden, on the fight against toxic trade negotiations and instead for a trade system that works for both people and planet.
