Join us for a preview screening, panel and discussion of “First They Came for My College,” an upcoming documentary about the takeover and transformation of New College of Florida. Join us for a special sneak preview of the film and a panel of alumni and former faculty from NCF. The event will end with a discussion about local higher education concerns and how we can build power to protect our institutions.

On November 7, students and education workers will take action and disrupt business as usual to demand an education system that works for us: where everyone is safe on campus, where college is free for all, where workers have a fair wage and a union.

We're taking action the first Friday of every month leading up to a mass student strike on May 1, 2026. When students join workers to disrupt business as usual, we can win a world that works for us — not fascists and billionaires.

A core principle behind all of our events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events
