Fire Bannon Again: #JewishResistance at the ZOA Gala

Start: Sunday, November 12, 2017 4:30 PM

End: Sunday, November 12, 2017 8:00 PM

The people fired Stephen Bannon. Now he's coming to New York - and it's time for us to resist him again.

Last year, over 500 members of the #JewishResistance and social movements fighting for racial, economic, and gender justice marched to #FireBannon and push rising White Nationalism out of the White House and public life. Back in August, Bannon was finally removed from his post as Chief Strategist in the White House.

Now, on November 12, the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA), an institution all too willing to condone antisemites if they unilaterally support Israel, has invited Bannon back to speak at their annual gala. The ZOA is attempting to give Bannon a second career: pitting U.S. Jews against our Muslim neighbors and rallying support for Israel’s 50-year military Occupation.

And that's just the start of it. Here are a few of the other speakers and honorees:

+David Friedman, U.S. Ambassador to Israel and open supporter of settlement expansion in the West Bank
+Tom Cotton, U.S. Senator who supports military action against Iran and spearheaded opposition to the Iran deal
+Miriam and Sheldon Adelson, right-wing megadonors and the largest donors to Donald Trump's presidential campaign

We must resist all of their attacks on Muslims and Arabs, immigrants, women, people of color, and Jews, both within and outside of the Jewish community.

Join IfNotNow NYC in seeing Stephen Bannon off to an early retirement. We’ll celebrate the movement we’ve ignited, demand that our institutions join us in the fight against White Nationalism and the Occupation, and call for freedom and dignity for all Palestinians and Israelis.

Join the #JewishResistance in the streets on November 12. All allies and friends are welcome to join.

We will share rally and march details as the date approaches. Join the facebook event for more info - and please share far and wide!
