While a judge ordered the strike to end and VTA bus operators and others back to work, there is still no contract for the transit workers we depend on. Negotiations between management and the union are ongoing. Transit operators deserve fair pay, safe working environments, and to be treated with dignity so Saturday the 5th, we are helping riders speak out in solidarity for transit workers!

Join us in passing out flyers to educate riders and help them take action to support transit workers.

At the same time, we are helping riders speak out for more transit funding from the state. Right now, California legislators are setting the state's budget and we are joining with nearly 100 organizations throughout California in demanding that the state budget put $2 billion into transit to help agencies stop service cuts and expand service.

We'll meet up at the Southwest corner of Stevens Creek and Santana Row (in front of the Crate & Barrel), do a flyering training, buddy people up and then head out in different directions to get flyers out to transit riders & supporters. We'll reconvene at 2:30 (location TBD) to celebrate and debrief.
