The draft Forest Management Plan (FMP) for 2024-2033 has been published and we are on track to end native forest logging and protect at least a further 400,000 ha of the South West’s forests.

The policy commitment to end native forest logging was ground-breaking. However, more work is needed, and this is evident in this draft plan, which is open for public comment until 18 December 2022.

Whilst your submission will be strongest if you write it in your own words, WAFA has put together an assessment of the plan to assist you, and invites you to join us for a casual co-working session dedicated to writing your submission.

This hybrid event will be available to join both in person at Perth City Farm or online via Zoom Friday 2 December 11am - 12:30pm AWST.

WAFA team members will be on hand to answer questions and help guide you through the submission process. We'll have printed copies of WAFA's assessment of the plan, and WIFI, and morning tea is provided to those attending in person.

If you are looking for more guidance, like-minded people to bounce ideas off, or just a dedicated time to sit down and write your submission, this event is for you.
