The COVID-19 situation in NYC jails, and in particular Rikers Island, and New Jersey detention centers where ICE detains immigrants, is extremely dire. In solidarity with #FTA4PH, Abolition Action and the NYC-DSA Immigrant Justice Working Group are hosting a virtual phone bank this Friday, April 10th
We'll be calling district attorneys demanding that they support release decisions for everyone in NYC jails and New Jersey politicians demanding the release of detainees in four facilities.
