Start: Friday, October 16, 2026•12:00 PM
End: Friday, October 16, 2026•01:30 PM
Location: TBD• 000, Twin Cities, MN 55101 US
Our trans, Muslim, and Jewish neighbors are being scapegoated from the same playbook, one that serves authoritarian movements by turning our communities against each other. This practical training will help us understand the playbook and combat it together.
We'll start with political education and analysis: a grounding in Islamophobia, transphobia, and antisemitism, followed by a look at how these forms of bigotry reinforce one another and how they're used to justify attacks on democracy and on all of us.
Then we'll move from analysis to action with hands-on narrative training, where participants will practice spotting common tropes, countering divisive messaging, and telling a shared story that builds solidarity instead of festering division.
You'll leave equipped with the knowledge and messaging tools to confront these narratives in your organization, your base, and your community.
Lunch will be provided!
Organized by Gender Justice, Jewish Community Action, Reviving the Islamic Sisterhood for Empowerment, and the MN Democracy Defense Table.
