This year, we can't be at the Capitol together. But lawmakers still need to hear from us on the importance of fully funding our public schools.

Join union members, school employees, and community members from across the RGV as we call on our state legislators to maintain public school funding in the state of Texas! We'll have a socially distant rally, with a "Park and Honk" option. There will be guest speakers.

This event is being hosted by RGV chapters of the American Federation of Teachers with permission from the City of McAllen.

**Important: All participants are asked to wear face masks and maintain social distancing. Participants may also remain in their vehicles.**

Local unions will also be hosting meet-ups and "Ride to the Rally" events beforehand. Check with your RGV AFT local or Associate Membership Program Organizer for more information on that!

The more who participate, the less likely we are to be ignored. To get our message across, consider bringing signs or decorating your car with pro-public education messages like #FundOurFuture.
