#FundOurSchools Lobby Day

This holiday season, hundreds of RCSD teachers were handed their pink slips and sent packing. This will have a devastating impact on our students and their families. That is why Citizen Action and the Alliance for Quality Education is heading to Albany on January 14th to demand that Andrew Cuomo fulfill his obligation and pay the Rochester City School District the $86 million its owed in Foundation Aid.

Cuts are being made to balance the budget, and our students are the ones paying for it. We are calling on students, teachers, and supporters to join us in Albany. Transportation will be provided.

We will meet at the Citizen Action of NY office located at 515 State St, Rochester NY 14608 at 6:15 AM with buses leaving at 6:30 AM. Breakfast will be provided as well as lunch. Our organizers will go over the agenda and plan prior to our arrival.
