God's Love Knows No Borders-Lancaster, PA
Start: Saturday, March 22, 2025•10:00 AM
Join a public worship service demonstration to show our Lancaster community that we know "God's Love Knows No Borders". All are welcome.
We are using our voices and our consciences to speak out in this moment of uncertainty and fear. We choose, as Mennonites and Christians, to show up for our undocumented neighbors, those living in Gaza and the West Bank, and for the safety of all in our Lancaster community.
We know that God’s love knows no borders. We ask: is the immigrant, the stranger, the oppressed, the refugee, the prisoner to blame for our country’s current divisions and strife? Or is it the rich, the politicians, the emperors, those who hoard wealth and use their power for violence, coercion, and domination, who have created the divides we now struggle to traverse?
The Spirit of God is upon us, even at this moment, to speak the gospel message of good news to the poor, release of the captives, healing of the sick, and freedom to the oppressed — not fear, anxiety, and scarcity but life and love for all of God’s children. Jesus stood with the oppressed, and so will we.
Our liberation is tied together. Our tax dollars pay for bombs that drop on children living in Gaza, and ICE raids that deport immigrant children. Our safety and futures in our communities are connected to liberation and safety among our neighbors, and those living in Palestine.
All are welcome at God’s table and in this movement. Are you a Christian, a person of faith, or simply a person ready to take action grounded in prayer, peace, and liberation? If so, you can join this movement. Visit mennoniteaction.org to get involved.
