Grade-in for Grad Funding

Start: Monday, May 09, 202211:00 AM

End: Monday, May 09, 2022 2:00 PM

In response to our campaign for centrally funded grad extensions, President Holloway stated that he "takes seriously the needs of all graduate students and hears your concerns." Yet his administration continues to point grads searching for secure funding to different administrative dead ends. This abdication of responsibility is harmful to graduate workers who have dedicated themselves to running labs, teaching classes, mentoring students, and conducting research.

Click "Send RSVP" if you can join us on Monday, May 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Winants Hall for a grade-in to demand a central administration commitment to grad funding extensions. If you can only stop by to support grads during the grade-in, that's fine!

What is a grade-in?
A grade-in is a popular tactic used by education unions to draw attention to our work issues and apply pressure on the administration. We’ll bring our grading and data entry to the administration's headquarters in Winants and get it done together!

Getting there: Winants Hall is located across from Barnes and Noble and the New Brunswick train station on Somerset Street. If you are driving and have a Rutgers parking pass, we recommend that you park behind the College Avenue Student Center. Winants is a short walk up College Avenue. There is also available meter parking on surrounding streets.
