Green Talk in Barnham

You are warmly invited to the latest in our series of Green Talks.

We will be discussing the ongoing flooding and sewage crisis that has been affecting Barnham and other areas of Arun. In addition, Barnham hit national headlines over the Easter Weekend because of a large and rapid escalation of antisocial behaviour in the village. An emergency meeting was held to calm local's fears over concerns that police had lost control control of public order in the area.

One of our Arun District Councillors, Sue Wallsgrove, has been in the frontline trying to resolve these issues and hold the appropriate authorities to account. This includes the formation of the Arun Flood Forum, and regular meetings with Southern Water, Sussex Police and other key stakeholders.

Please come along on Friday 19 April 7pm, to hear more, ask questions, meet other local residents, and find out more about what the Green party stand for, and what we do locally. We will be joined by Jonathon Kent, the Green Party candidate for Sussex Police Crime Commissioner who will be explaining how policing would look different under a Green Crime Commissioner.

We know that so many of have been impacted by the recent flooding. This meeting is open to all and we particularly welcome people who are new to the party, or are thinking of joining. If you live locally and have questions about climate change or Green policies, please come along.

There will be food and drink available, plus a warm welcome!

If you can, please plan your journey on public transport. If you require or are able to offer a lift share, please contact Ann.

We look forward to seeing you!
