Join the New York City Democratic Socialists of America’s Healthcare Working Group for a healthcare-focused virtual town hall!

In addition to Assemblywoman-elect Phara Souffrant Forrest and State Senator-elect Jabari Brisport, we will be joined by a roster of local healthcare activists and professionals that includes reproductive health advocate Katy Cecen, primary care physician Dr. Donald Moore, and Julie Keefe, RN. This exciting event will cover how the New York Health Act and other state-level healthcare initiatives can improve the health of working class communities in Brooklyn, connecting issues such as local hospital mergers and soaring infant mortality rates to the structural deficiencies of our for-profit healthcare system. Most importantly, the event will include Q&A and facilitated small-group discussions that will allow participants to connect, brainstorm strategy and specific actions, and commit to getting involved in the struggle for healthcare justice in New York!
