MarchOnHarrisburg marches again!
Last May, MarchOnHarrisburg embarked on a 10-day, 105-mile political pilgrimage from Philadelphia to Harrisburg.
From November 10 - 12, March on Harrisburg will again take to the streets to march 36-miles from Lancaster to Harrisburg to restore democracy in Pennsylvania. Since January, MarchOnHarrisburg has been lobbying at the State Capitol for three pieces of good government legislation that would end gerrymandering, institute gift limitations for public officials and institute automatic voter registration.
If you are unable to march, will you become a March Host?
On Friday, Nov. 10, we need Marcher Hosts to pick up marcher(s) at 7PM at the Laserdome. The Rally Spot is located at 2050 Auction Road, Manheim, PA
On Saturday, Nov. 11, we need Marcher Hosts to pick up marcher(s) at 7PM at McDonald's, The Rally Spot is located at 2270 W Harrisburg Pike, Middletown, PA
Your job will be to:
- Pick up marcher(s) from Rally Spot on Friday, Nov 10 and/or Saturday, Nov 11
- Provide housing for a marcher(s) that evening - bed, couch or floorspace
- Provide use of bathroom for showers for a marcher(s)
- Provide dinner*
- Provide breakfast*
- Return marcher(s) to Rally Spot the following morning.
Housing for marchers (who are walking 12 miles each day!) makes the struggle to #endPAcorruption possible. Without volunteers like you, March On Harrisburg would not be able to do this work.
