Transport is responsible for a third of our carbon emissions. Making our fleet electric is only a part of the answer - experts say we need to cut traffic on our roads by at least a fifth if we are to meet our climate targets. Cycling and walking more for shorter journeys is key - but how do we make that easier in Havant?

Anne Sayer will introduce what is happening in Havant Borough currently to encourage cycling and walking before opening up the discussion with the support of local experts.

Anne has written and edited publications about sustainable travel for two decades. She also set up Havant's Dr Bike repair scheme in the heart of the pandemic to help encourage more everyday cycling. Her household went car-free in 2019.
