Metro DC DSA's Political Education Working Group will host a training on How to Organize a Walking Tour: Training on Outdoor Political Education. Sign up by filling out this Google Form to receive a calendar invite with the Zoom meeting link for the session. **RSVPs through Action Network will not receive the calendar invite!**

We've prioritized outdoor political education over the past two years in order to safely bring people together during COVID-19 pandemic and. It's proven to be an excellent way to connect history and theory to local geography. We've hosted four walking tours, each attracting more than 80 attendees.

This session will train both those looking to initiate or modify outdoor political education in their regions, and comrades in the DC area looking to take a larger role in helping Metro DC DSA with planning and organizing walking tours. It will focus on walking tours, but will cover all aspects of holding safe outdoor political education.

The training will cover what topics work for a walking tour, how to conduct sign-ups, and how to route tour attendees to continuing education and organizing. It will also cover logistical details such as how to coordinate supplies, volunteer roles and attendee reminders, arrange content, and follow-up with participants. Draft checklists and a sign-up template for outdoor political education will be shared with everyone who attends the training.

Don't forget to sign up to receive the training calendar invite!

Note: The opening of the training will be recorded and posted online, but the discussion/Q&A session afterward will not.

This event is open to both DSA Members and supporters.
