Tell Target to take a stand and demand ICE OUT NOW!

75,000+ people marched and took actions on Fri 1/23 in Minneapolis, and people have been taking actions at Target stores across MN and across the country for weeks, asking Target to keep ICE off their property and speak up for the community they say they care about.

In response to this overwhelming community uproar, Target said no, they don't care, through the weak statement they released on Sunday 1/25 (with other MN corporations). This is not enough - we demand real action!

Join us here in Minneapolis to participate in a national day of action on Sat 1/31, to gather at Target and demand that they:

1. Become a 4th amendment business:
   
   
   1. Refuse ICE entry to their business without a warrant (and post signage on doors)
   2. Prohibit ICE use of their property for staging grounds
   3. Train their employees on how to handle ICE
2. Use their corporate influence to demand:
   
   
   1. ICE must leave Minnesota now
   2. Legitimate investigations into the killing of civilians - any officer who kills a civilian must be held accountable
   3. Shut down Trump's ICE - freeze federal funding for ICE!

Target claims they can't prohibit ICE from being in their 'public' spaces, so they shouldn't mind if we use their space either, right?!

Let's turn up the heat on Target and show them that we won't accept weak public statements - we demand action! We need ICE OUT NOW!

MORE BACKGROUND ON WHY TARGET:
Target has allowed ICE on their property without a warrant - to stage in their parking lots, allow a battalion of ICE agents to use the bathroom and shoot propaganda videos, harass and intimidate workers and customers, and on Jan 8th, federal agents attacked and detained two US citizens who were employees while working at the Richfield, MN Target.

Target is headquartered in Minneapolis and is Minnesota’s fourth largest employer. Minnesota sports teams play in stadiums and jerseys with Target’s logo on them. They should be standing with the people of Minnesota and speaking out against ICE’s invasion of the state. We need corporations like Target to use their outsized influence in this country to demand an end to ICE terror, and the authoritarian takeover!

Instead, ever since Trump took office for his second term, Target immediately rolled over and rolled out the red carpet for Trump and his MAGA regime. They donated $1 million dollars to the Trump inauguration, and immediately abandoned their DEI commitments that they had made after George Floyd's murder in 2020, all to please Trump. Now Target stands by and allows Trump's ICE thugs to terrorize our communities, separate families, arrest children, assault and detain US citizens, and murder legal observers. These are our neighbors and beloved community members - and any of us could be next.

Target needs to stand up and demand ICE OUT NOW!
