Please join us for our monthly Indivisible Boulder meeting. It will be in the Boulder Creek Room at the Boulder Public Library on Arapahoe. We will be meeting from 3:30-5:30pm on Sunday, September 24th.

Starting with our September meeting, we will start raising goods/funds/awareness of local non-profits right here in our Boulder Community. For September, we are raising funds for CIRC (Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition). Please bring cash or checks written to: Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition. We will collect the funds and give to them within the week. Here are the items they can accomplish with donations:

• Pass legislation to defend Sheriffs who refuse to honor ICE detainers-ending unjust detentions and deportations. CIRC will work with local Police, Mayors and Counties to come out in defense of sanctuary policies.
• Expand and fix the state driver’s licenses program for the undocumented to increase the number of individuals who can access and benefit from this relief across Colorado.
• Prepare communities through Know Your Rights trainings to protect and defend themselves if faced with deportation.
• Provide immigration relief to those who qualify for citizenship and other adjustment of status processes, including defending DACA recipients; meanwhile work to expand immigration legal assistance statewide.

Our goal for the September and October meetings will be to get local city candidates that are running for office this November to come speak to our group. We are still waiting to hear back from some candidates, however, the following have confirmed to be at our September meeting (click on their names to see their websites):

We have set up a Google Form where you can submit questions to the candidates: Boulder City Council Candidate Questions. They will not be answering these questions at the meeting due to time constraints, however, we will post the questions with answers on our website.
