Indivisible Boulder 2018 January Meeting

Start: Sunday, January 14, 2018 3:30 PM

End: Sunday, January 14, 2018 5:30 PM

We are excited to have a great line-up for our kickoff meeting in 2018! Join us on January 14th from 3:30-5:30pm in the Boulder Creek Room to learn about some candidates running for office and a local non-profit. Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP today!

Our first guest speaker will be Lea Anne Frey who works for Great Education Colorado and the Colorado Education Network. She will be speaking about the following:

  • Great Education has created a new network called the Colorado Education Network specifically to support public education and educate about lack of adequate and equitable funding for it in Colorado. It is a way to get involved in a non-political way.
  • There are some education measures that may appear on the 2018 Colorado State Ballot. She is seeking feedback and will let people know how they can support and get updates on the possible options.

Following our model of helping a local non-profit at each of our meetings, we decided we should help out our Boulder County public schools. Lea Anne has reached out to Impact On Education, a Boulder Valley School District foundation, to see what items Boulder Valley students need. Here is a List of Supplies (click on "List of Supplies" to see the list) we will be collecting at our January meeting for Lea Anne to take to the foundation for distribution to students.

We will also have Noel Ginsburg at our meeting speaking about his campaign and to hear from you what you are looking for from your next Colorado Governor. So be prepared to ask him your burning questions!

Finally, we will have Mark Williams come speak about his campaign for our CD2 seat that is opening up in 2018. This is your chance to learn about another of the candidates running to represent Boulder County in Washington, D.C.

Please RSVP today as space is limited!
