Intel: Disrupt Inequality by supporting cafeteria workers
Start: Wednesday, February 10, 2016• 3:00 PM
End: Wednesday, February 10, 2016• 4:30 PM
Cafeteria workers have joined the Silicon Valley Rising movement and need your support!
Just last week, Intel cafeteria workers (who are employed by Guckenheimer Corporate Dining) stood up for their families and for the thousands of families across Silicon Valley who are struggling to survive in a tech driven economy by petitioning their employer to ensure a fair process as workers organize to form a union.
We’ve seen in organizing efforts time and time again that this is also the time that employers begin to intimidate and retaliate. It’s that time when workers need us to stand with them. It’s that time when faith, community and labor have the opportunity to inspire Intel to ensure workers have a voice.
That’s why this Wednesday, February 10th at 3pm workers and their families, community, faith and labor leaders will gather at 2200 Mission College Boulevard in Santa Clara to ask Intel to join us to disrupt inequality and stand with their cafeteria workers.
