For International Peace Day, we bring you two world-class disarmament stars, discussing the situation in the Asian Subcontinent, and why we must end nuclear weapons. The border of Afghanistan is only a two-hour drive from the Punjab area where many Pakistani nuclear weapons are kept. India, China, Russia, and Pakistan are all players in the future of the Afghans, not to mention the historically-barbarous Taliban fundamentalists. What comes next, and what must the US, the UN and world powers do to defuse the situation?

Our speakers are Erin Hunt, of Canada Land Mines Action, and the Board of ICAN, the International Campaign Against Nuclear Weapons, and Ambassador Thomas Graham, who served for three decades at the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency, and as President Clinton's special representative for arms control, non-proliferation, and disarmament.
