We are inviting you to join us for A Day with SIM 2025!

Over the last couple of months, we have seen immigrant communities being criminalized, targeted, and attacked. Immigrants, especially those who are undocumented, may have stopped attending school, going to grocery stores, or even going to work due to fear of being detained. It’s a scary time, but fear alone is isolating and leaves us vulnerable.

We believe that community spaces and empowerment are the solutions to a lot of the worries we may be experiencing today.

Because of this, SIM is holding an all day event called A Day with SIM!

This will be a full day event where participants will get the chance to build a community and network with other undocumented youth and young adults. During this event, we will do a couple of different things such as community building activities, talking about what is currently happening with immigration and how we're experiencing them, and also moments to have fun and laugh. Towards the end, we will come up with a plan about how we will continue the conversations we started during this event.

¡Te invitamos a "Un Día con SIM 2025"!


En los últimos meses, hemos visto cómo las comunidades inmigrantes han sido criminalizadas, atacadas y perseguidas. Los inmigrantes, especialmente aquellos indocumentados, pueden haber dejado de asistir a la escuela, ir al supermercado o incluso a trabajar por miedo a ser detenidos. Es un momento aterrador, pero el miedo por sí solo nos aísla y nos deja vulnerables.

Creemos que los espacios comunitarios y el empoderamiento son las soluciones a muchas de las preocupaciones que podemos estar experimentando hoy.

Por eso, SIM esta organizando un evento llamado "Un Día con SIM".

Este evento de un día completo permitirá a los participantes construir una comunidad y conectar con otros jóvenes y adultos jóvenes indocumentados. Durante este evento, realizaremos actividades para creer comunidad, hablar sobre la situación de la inmigración y cómo la estamos experimentando, y también tendremos momentos para divertirnos y reír. Hacia el final, elaboraremos un plan sobre cómo continuaremos las conversaciones que iniciamos durante este evento.
