Kayah George shares her teachings during Sunday Worship

Start: Sunday, September 16, 201810:30 AM

As people of faith, we are entrusted to care for creation and we are failing. The Orcas in Puget Sound have been suffering for years and only when they are on the brink of extinction do we notice and wonder how we are called to act. On Sunday September 16th, our worship service will be in solidarity with the Salish Sea Day of Action event.

Kayah George, granddaughter of Amy Ta 'ah George, daughter of Deborah Parker (Tulalip) and Chief Reuben George (Tsleil Waututh), will be sharing her people's teachings during the service. We will learn, pray, sing and mourn together. We acknowledge that this is a spiritual struggle. We must show up in mind body and spirit. The community is encouraged and welcome to join us in this open and affirming time of prayer.
