Keene: Green New Deal Town Hall
Monday, April 22, 2019• 6:30 PM
The Green New Deal is the only proposed solution to climate change that is in line with what science and justice demand. We know that our communities in NH are already suffering from the impacts of climate change, as well as lack of affordable housing, low wages, limited economic and job opportunities, high education costs and rates of student loan debt, the lasting impacts of the opioid epidemic, and lack of health and other services. The Green New Deal will address all of these issues, boost our local economy, transition our state to 100% renewable energy by 2030, and protect our community from the worsening impacts of climate change. We want to give every person in our community, including our farmers and others on the front line of climate change, the opportunity to learn more about the Green New Deal and what it means for us in the Monadnock Region.
Join us at this Town Hall to hear leaders in our community share about how the Green New Deal is the biggest opportunity of our lifetime to invest in the American people and implement solutions to the climate crisis, and what that looks like for us in New Hampshire.
