Learning Thursdays is back for January! This month we'll be looking at Building and Maintaining a Citizens Alliance. Building collective power is at the root of community organising, and this month we'd like to discuss with you the fundamentals and techniques behind creating a sustainable Alliance. Throughout this training series we aim to equip community leaders - both those that are new to community organising as well as those with more extensive experience - with the tools to apply learning to effective change-making in their community.

Decision Making in CUK alliance: dues, campaigns and leadership: For anyone who would like an introduction to these topics, please join us for our Learning for Leaders session on 28th January 16:00-17:15.

The power of an alliance lies in the relationships and the determination to act in unity around specific issues and actions. How can dozens of people reach consensus? How do hundreds - thousands- of people decide how to run their alliances and what to act on? Find out in this session how decision making and a democratic culture shape the choices and organising of our leaders.

Citizens UK alliances are democratic organisations and based on collective leadership; our internal democracy is not limited to a handful of decision making, vote casting moments. Join this session to learn how democratic decision making broadens interests, creates accountability, and builds power.

Register by filling in your details and you will receive the Zoom link for the session.

We hope you can make it!
