Lets elect Green councillors in Bungay and a Green MP in North Suffolk!

Start: Friday, August 12, 2022 1:00 PM

Are you frustrated with the direction East Suffolk is heading in under the Tories? Angry about the lack of any action on the climate emergency? Are you worried about the lack of affordable housing or scared by the cost of living crisis?

Well you have an opportunity to help the tide.

We will be meeting in Bungay on Friday 12th August to help elect amazing Green councillors to East Suffolk Council and to help elect our co-leader Adrian Ramsay as an MP in North Suffolk and we need help from people like you.

In 2021, we lost out on getting a Green county councillor elected in Bungay by just 56 votes. Despite increasing our vote share by 32%, the Tories pipped us to the post and have been able to continue failing all of Suffolk.

With a result so close, you can have a direct impact on getting two Green councillors elected in Bungay and Wainford by joining us for our action day.

We will be meeting at 1pm on Friday 12th August at Laurels Farm, Bungay Road, Barsham, Bungay, NR34 8HD where you will have a chat before we have a briefing and talk from Adrian Ramsay and Toby Hammond, one of our candidates for Bungay. If you are able to bring any food to share, this will mean we should be able to have a communal lunch together.

Afterwards we will be heading into the villages for some leafletting and door-knocking!

Never door-knocked before? No worries! We can pair up any new volunteers with a more experienced activist who can guide you and lead the way while full training will also be provided before you head out.

So, if you want to help change the political landscape in Suffolk, join us to talk to residents about how Greens are the only opposition to the Tories.

We look forward to seeing you in Bungay on Friday 12th August. Please do click through and sign-up for the action day so that we have an accurate idea of how many people will be joining us and can make sure to bring enough rounds for everyone. We wouldn't want anyone to be left out!
